The reason kitchen renovations drag on is almost always coordination. The units arrive before the plastering is done, the electrician cannot come back for a fortnight, the worktop template is booked before the units are level. We run all of it, in sequence, with our own trades.

A standard kitchen renovation on a Greater Manchester house is a two to three week job from the first day of strip-out to the final silicone bead. We give you the dates before we start and we work to them.

• Design and plan drawings with appliance and service positions
• Strip-out and removal of the existing kitchen
• Wall removal or structural opening where the layout is changing
• Electrical first fix: new circuits, sockets, lighting, cooker supply
• Plumbing first fix: hot and cold feeds, waste runs, gas where needed

Specifying a rental kitchen properly

There is a real difference between a kitchen for an owner-occupier and a kitchen for a let property, and it is not simply about spending less. Rental kitchens need rigid carcasses that survive being loaded badly, doors with metal hinges rather than plastic, worktops that tolerate a hot pan, and a layout that is easy to clean around.

Where budget matters, we would rather spend it on carcass quality and worktop and save on door fronts — because doors can be swapped in five years for a few hundred pounds, and carcasses cannot.

Kitchens for owner-occupiers

We do plenty of work for homeowners too, particularly in Didsbury, Chorlton, Heaton Moor, Altrincham and Hale where the brief is more about design than durability. We will work with a kitchen you have already specified from a supplier, or handle the design and supply ourselves.
